The Thien Thao Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City exceeded our expectations in many ways. the value for money was excellent - we were able to stay comfortably for a month without breaking the bank. Secondly, the hotel's location in District 1 was just perfect. It was away from the bustling city center, yet still close enough to enjoy the major attractions. We loved being able to explore the cool surrounding area on foot and do some shopping.

Our experience at this hotel was really good and we didn't encounter any major issues.

There was no instant coffee package in room.buffet breakfast coffee was warm.

One reviewer reported getting food poisoning from a meal ordered from the Chinese restaurant used by the hotel's room service.

The service from the staff is excellent. We stayed for an additional 3 nights and despite being full rearranged their bookings to ensure we remained in the same room. The staff enjoyed meeting our 2 children and kept them happy even buying them cakes! The hotel is well placed for visiting the Pagoda temple and shopping in District 3 and you can still walk into the centre in 20 to 30 minutes. There are a number of good restaurants such as Banh Xe (Vietnam pancakes) and a bakery nearby.

For the cost it was good value. Wifi was good and breakfast although limited choice was nice.

Location is not the best. About 30 minute walk to the markets and have to cross some very busy roads. The massage the staff recommended was expensive and way too far away. Asked to pay in dong but didn't think I got a good conversion rate from US dollars

We had a great stay at this hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The value for money was excellent, with affordable prices that didn't compromise on quality. The attention to detail was impressive, from the warm decoration of the rooms to the basic amenities that were provided. We particularly loved the king-size bed, which ensured a comfortable night's sleep. The location, although not directly in the center, was in a cool area to walk around and shop, and it was reasonably close to the major attractions of Ho Chi Minh City, including District 1. The staff provided exceptional service, and we appreciated the delicious Vietnamese favorites and various Western dishes offered at breakfast. Wi-fi was included, which was a bonus.

The breakfast was tasty and totally ok, but a buffet with a little bigger selection (different kinds of fruits, youghurt, bread, egg, juices) would have done alot for the total impression.

The hotel is centrally located in the city center and close to the train station. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and a great value.

The breakfast had limited options and here was only one menu for he whole hotel !!! and when you order for e.g scrambled eggs it comes with ham cheese tomato and onion in the eggs . people should be aware that their breakfasts will come with surprise extras !! it ruined my breakfast.
